Abstract Art With Words

Being that the dog was sleeping in the original image and the abstract consisted of smooth, organic shapes, I chose the word relax. I thought this word was too simple so I changed it to the synonym unwind. The font used is Blackadder ITC. It has an almost calligraphic appearance were it not for the rickety edges. Like writing to vent, it does not look particularly beautiful. It is just something written to get things off your chest. It is written as a way to unwind.

Color Manipulation

This image is meant to display a sense of envy. The person the dog is laying on wishes their life could be more carefree.
This is meant to show the idea people have about animals that fall asleep in their lap; the animal loves them. A light pink was used to allude to themes associated with events such as Valentines Day.
This is to be a realization that the only reasons the dog sleeps in someone's lap is because it is comfortable and they can be near a food source. It is in their nature I chose brown because it is a more bland color found in nature.

Abstract Images

The upper third of this image is an example of transition. The eye moves from right to left and then moves around the spotted area.

The lower left portion of this image suggests 3D as the colored dots become smaller, less concentrated, and more faded when going from left to right. This alludes to the object moving out of view.

This is an example of positive-negative relationship through the use of black and white dots. Making large black areas with white spots close to the edges gives the black spots in the remaining white areas a counter balance.
